Honda N-ONE e Launched – K-Car EV For Urban Use

When seen on Malaysian roads, Kei Car or more commonly called k-car is the most popular car segment. Its compact size makes it suitable for Malaysian road infrastructure. Kancil, Kelisa and Kenari are examples of Japanese k-cars sold in Malaysia. With electric vehicles gaining more attention, Honda N-ONE e was launched in Japan yesterday as an EV k-car.

It is based on the petrol version of N-ONE and is now equipped with an EV powertrain paired with a 29.6 kWh battery to provide a range of around 295km WLTP. The range is quite limited but the N-ONE e is marketed as an urban use vehicle that does not require a large battery.

With the N-ONE e, Honda now offers two mini EV vehicles in the Japanese market. The first vehicle is the N-VAN e which is an electric van. In Japan, the Honda N-ONE e is sold for ¥2.7 million (~RM 77,231) each.
