Microsoft is currently investing in OpenAI, and using their AI technology in a variety of offerings, including Copilot and other services. However, with Anthropic showing better results in some applications, Microsoft is now reportedly looking to pay Anthropic to use their AI technology offerings in some applications.
Among the integrations seen is in Office 365 applications, which also shows Microsoft moving away from exclusive use of OpenAI to several other providers.
It is said that the use of Anthropic’s technology in applications such as Excel and PowerPoint offers better results than the use of OpenAI.
For now, both parties have not yet issued an official comment, and we may hear about it in the coming weeks.
