Nothing has announced the Nothing OS 4.0 operating system based on Android 16. Through it, Nothing wants to provide a simpler, more intuitive and unique user experience to plant owners.
Nothing OS 4.0 brings a more uniform and minimalist design. For example, icons and system components are now aligned for a consistent look and feel across devices. The Quick Setting menu has been overhauled to be simpler and easier to access. Extra Dark Mode has also been introduced to reduce eye strain, especially in dark conditions.
The application's multitasking feature has also been improved with Pop-up View which allows you to manage multiple applications simultaneously while the application has been further optimized to increase speed making daily use faster and more efficient.
Photography capabilities have also been given attention through TrueLens. There are new camera controls that give users more ways to take pictures. The gallery has also become smarter, making it easier to manage and organize your photos.
Users can now see AI behavior more transparently and have a usage dashboard to monitor how AI interacts with their data. This gives users greater power and peace of mind. An open Beta testing program is launching soon but the date has not yet been announced.
