Two Xpeng Flying Cars Collide During Flight Training

Two Xpeng flying cars collided in mid-air on Tuesday during flight training for the Changchun Air Show in China. No fatalities were reported, with only one pilot suffering minor injuries. After the collision, both flying cars successfully landed, but one of them later caught fire.

The flying car comes with every Xpeng AeroHT Land Aircraft Carrier (LAC) EV SUV launched earlier this year. It can carry up to two passengers and operates entirely on battery power.

Since its public debut, the LAC has received 3,000 orders. That's a pretty high number of orders, even though each LAC is priced at RMB 2 million (~RM 1.22 million). AeroHT has also yet to receive government classification for the vehicle and whether owners will need a special license to fly.
