One of the new products shown during the next@Acer announcement event this year was their latest mechanical keyboard under the Predator brand, the Predator Aethon 550 which features an attractive design and also a number of functions that allow users to customize this keyboard to become a unique accessory for themselves.
First, the Predator Aethon 550 comes with a Tenkeyless design, meaning that it does not have a numpad section for a more compact design. This keyboard is the first model from Acer to come with hotswap support, where users can remove the keyboard switches and change the red (linear) and blue (tactile) switch options, as well as other switch options they may have. This keyboard also comes with WASD switch covers with different designs to highlight the uniqueness of this keyboard.
This keyboard also comes with three connection modes, including wired mode (USB Type-C cable) and wireless mode that uses Bluetooth and WiFi connections, depending on the user's needs. In terms of battery, Acer says that the Predator Aethon 550 has a battery life of up to 150 hours depending on how it is used.
It also comes with a per-key lighting feature that can be customized via software or using the built-in Windows Dynamic Lighting lighting customization feature built into the Microsoft Windows 11 operating system.
The Predator Aethon 550 keyboard will be introduced in select markets soon.
