The Predator Helios 18 AI laptop was launched in the middle of this year with very powerful gaming specifications, even rivaling many desktop gaming computer offerings on the market today.
Recently, during the Acer GPC 2025 event held in Berlin, Germany, Acer has shown a new model of this laptop called the Predator Helios 18P AI, which is the same laptop, but with several different internal specification offerings.
In terms of display, the Predator Helios 18P features an 18-inch Mini LED display with 4K WQUXGA (3840 x 2400) resolution with a brightness value of 1000 nits and can process 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut for editing and processing videos with the most accurate colors.
It is still powered by a combination of Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX processors, but this time it comes with vPro features that allow company IT to encrypt work machines more easily. This processing chip is also paired with a choice of graphics cards up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 for those working in the professional creative sector.
The two components are also matched with DDR5 ECC (Error Correcting Code) memory that reduces memory problems when performing intensive computer tasks such as video editing or processing high-resolution 3D objects.
The Predator Helios 18P also comes with a PCIe 5.0 storage option with a capacity of up to 6TB if desired, suitable for computers that need to work with video files or objects that require a large amount of storage.
In terms of cooling, this laptop also comes with a sixth-generation Aeroblade 3D cooling fan that promises that the CPU and GPU components are always operating at optimal levels.
One interesting gimmick that is on display is a panel on the back of the laptop's hinge that displays the Helios model name when it's on. This section also houses the Thunderbolt 5 plug and the power plug needed to power the laptop's components. Apart from that, it also comes with support for the latest WiFi 7 connectivity for storage accessory support and the fastest internet connection available today.
Acer says that the Predator Helios 18P AI will be introduced in the international market soon.
