Ray-Ban Meta has been updated with a longer battery life and better video recording than the original smart glasses. The Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) battery can now be used for up to 8 hours on a single charge, which is twice as long as the original glasses. A 20-minute charge can charge the battery up to 50% while the charger case provides up to 48 hours of use.
Video recording is now up to 3K 60FPS compared to only FHD in the first generation. It still uses a 12MP camera and 32GB of storage. This allows for recording up to 1000 photos or 100 30-second videos.
A pair of speakers are placed on the temple of the glasses and they retain the Meta AI feature that allows control using the wearer's voice. Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) is sold for a starting price of $379 (~RM 1590) in three frame options: Wayfarer, Skyler and Headliner with different body colors and lenses.
