ChatGPT Support on WhatsApp to End After January 15, 2026

ChatGPT will no longer be available on WhatsApp after January 15, 2026. This was revealed by OpenAI through an official tweet on X (formerly Twitter) which also explained the reason for the termination.

According to them, Meta has changed its third-party integration policy, and as a result, the 1-800-ChatGPT number will no longer be supported on the WhatsApp platform after that date. While this change may affect the way some users interact with ChatGPT, there are still other, easier and more complete alternatives to continue accessing the service.

For example, users can download the ChatGPT app on iOS, Android, Windows, or Mac for a simple and convenient experience. ChatGPT can also be accessed via the official website in any browser and is available built-in for Microsoft Edge users. With the official platform, users will also get additional features such as conversation history, voice mode, and file support.

For the record, ChatGPT support via WhatsApp has been introduced since 2024. Through it, users can make voice calls to a dedicated line using WhatsApp as well as send messages and receive feedback directly from ChatGPT.
