DJI is expanding the DJI ROMO smart robot vacuum offering to the global market. It is equipped with technology from DJI’s flagship drones such as millimeter sensors, smart sensors, smart algorithms and suction power of up to 25000 Pascal for thorough cleaning.
In addition, the smart self-cleaning system allows maintenance to be performed automatically. With the support of machine learning, ROMO is able to recognize and avoid obstacles such as 2mm thick charging cables or game cards.
The combination of inputs from various sensors allows ROMO to navigate smoothly even in low light.
The smart path is also optimally planned to avoid every obstacle with the help of wide-angle sensors that reduce the risk of blind spots.
The built-in 164ml water tank also ensures that the mop will always be damp while the 55W fast charging allows the battery to be fully charged in just 2.5 hours.
ROMO’s cleaning modes can also be customized including identifying the size and location of the carpet to update on the map, as well as washing the mop for cleanliness. In pet areas, ROMO will reduce the rotation speed of the brush to prevent flying debris.
Interestingly, the ROMO P is equipped with a transparent panel on the dock and robot that neatly displays the internal components. It also has an additional compartment for floor deodorizer and can spray cleaning solution or deodorizer directly onto the mop.
As of this writing, there is no official information on the DJI ROMO offering in the Malaysian market.
