The Insta360 X4 Air was launched today as a more affordable and compact 360-degree camera compared to the Insta360 X5. It can still record 360-degree videos at 8K 30FPS resolution. The difference is that at a lower resolution, the X4 Air records normal and slow-motion videos at a lower frame rate.
Photo recording is also only at a 29MP setting while the X5 and X4 record photos at a 72MP setting. The body is more compact and also lighter. The battery is also smaller with a capacity of 2010mAh with it providing video recording of up to 88 minutes. It also has a replaceable lens in case of damage like the X5.
Recording modes such as selfie stick removal, flowstate video stabilization, horizon lock and automatic editing. In Malaysia, pre-orders will open from October 30 with it being sold at a price of RM1779 for the regular edition and RM1879 for the Starter Bundle which comes with a lens protector, selfie stick and extra battery.
