During the Samsung Galaxy XR launch event a while ago, Samsung gave an early hint that the next device to be launched is smart glasses. At the end of the event, they announced a collaboration with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, two leading eyewear manufacturers from the United States and South Korea.
It is no secret that Samsung is developing smart glasses with Android XR using the code name Haean. It is believed that it will be offered without a built-in screen like the Ray-Ban Meta which is the most popular smart glasses on the market. The first time Samsung confirmed the existence of this product was when launching the Galaxy S25 earlier this year.
Xiaomi has already launched their smart glasses this year as a competitor to the Ray-Ban Meta Display. Apple is also rumored to be focusing on launching their first smart glasses. So it can be predicted that 2026 will be the year that smart glasses are launched on a large scale.
