The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Gen 2 was launched today, bringing a huge improvement in battery life, now reaching 54 hours. In the first generation, the battery only lasted up to 38 hours if 2.4 GHz tethering was used or 26 hours using Bluetooth.
This gaming headset has an interesting feature that can be tethered to two devices simultaneously with one using 2.4 GHz and the other using BT. This is very useful in situations where you are battling in the virtual world and still don't want to miss important notifications or calls on your phone. Like the first-generation Arctis Nova 7, a USB-C dongle must be used for 2.4GHz tethering.
The physical design of the headphones is the same as the original Arctis Nova 7 with a plastic body and ear cups matched with a metal ear cup. There is a built-in microphone that can be pulled out. Several physical buttons for audio control and tethering mode switching are included.
The software allows for different EQs for BT and 2.4GHz tethering. EQs for over 200 games such as Call of Duty, Valoran and Fortnite have also been included. SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Gen 2 can be used on PC, Mac, portable PC console, smartphone, tablet, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Switch 2, Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3.
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Gen 2 retails for $199.99 (~RM 845) a pair in white, black and magenta.
