Today, messaging has become one of the main communication mediums for users around the world, and the popular application used is WhatsApp. Today, WhatsApp also shared the findings of their latest study, showing 78% of Malaysian users interact with businesses via messages at least once a week.
This also shows that messaging is not only important between friends and family members, but also involves businesses and enterprises. This includes for inquiries, purchases, customer service, and so on.
WhatsApp says they provide a number of solutions for businesses to improve the user experience. In addition to messaging, moving forward, in Malaysia WhatsApp will also introduce a voice calling feature between customers and businesses – thus allowing text and voice interactions to be done using the platform.
In parallel with this partnership, Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp also announced the Meta Live Skilling program in Malaysia which aims to train locals in a number of skills involving the use of WhatsApp for businesses. To this end, Meta is working with MARA, MDEC, INSKEN and also SME Corp Malaysia.
