Belkin Recalls 3 Powerbank Products Due to Fire Risk

Belkin has announced the recall of three powerbank products from the market due to the risk of them causing fires. The affected products are the Belkin BoostCharge USB-C PD Power Bank 20K (BPB002), Playa USB-C PD Power Bank 20K (PB0003), and the Belkin Auto-Tracking Stand Pro (MMA008) dock.

All three products have already entered the Malaysian market. Customers who own the three products are advised to stop using them immediately and store them in a dry area away from flammable materials. They are also prohibited from attempting to dispose of them.

Customers are asked to go to Belkin's website to process a refund or receive a Belkin.com store credit. They will need to present proof of purchase and the serial number when submitting the form. If you are affected, please go to the link below to begin the compensation process.

Belkin has become another company to recall several powerbank models from the market this year due to the risk of fires. Before them, Anker and Xiaomi took similar steps following several incidents of powerbanks catching fire on airplanes.
