Two months ago we reported on the existence of Intel's Arrow Lake Refresh series of processors before they introduced the Nova Lake series of processors that will be built using Intel's new 18A semiconductor chip manufacturing technology.
Now, it seems that details about the Arrow Lake Refresh series of processors have leaked, showing three processors that are upgrades from existing processor models.
The first chip is the Intel Core Ultra 9 290K Plus, which is an upgrade from the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K with the same number of cores (8P+16E) but with a Thermal Velocity Boost speed of 5.8GHz compared to the previous 5.7GHz.
The second chip is the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, which is the Intel Core Ultra 7 265K chip with four more Efficiency cores, which now has a combination of 8P+16E cores, similar to what was seen on the Intel Core Ultra 9 series.
The third chip is the Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus, which is the Intel Core Ultra 5 245K chip that now comes with four additional Efficiency cores, bringing the total number of cores to 6P+12E, as well as the Performance cores that come with a speed of 100MHz faster.
All of these processing chips are seen to still support existing Intel LGA 1851 motherboards, and will support DDR5-7200 memory, faster than the DDR5-6800 memory supported by the original Arrow Lake processing chips.
In terms of launch, what is known so far is that these Intel Arrow Lake Refresh chips will launch next year, and those who want to upgrade their existing Arrow Lake CPUs can do so without having to change other components.
