Disney+ is one of the popular video streaming services, and offers various exclusive content through it. Most recently, through the sharing of the latest financial statements, Disney also shared plans for the streaming service.
One of them is the function focusing on artificial intelligence, where Disney+ is seen to offer viewers the ability to produce AI-generated content, in addition to also watching AI-generated content through the platform.
It is not yet known how this feature will work. It is likely that it will come with the integration of Disney elements, allowing users to integrate themselves with Disney characters or worlds, and share them through the platform.
Lately, we have seen OpenAI present Sora's offering that allows users to generate AI content and share it with others. Meta is also doing the same through a feature called Vibes. It is not known whether customers will be happy to watch content on the Disney+ platform or vice versa for now, since many people go to the platform to watch movies and TV series, and not short content or other user-generated content, let alone with AI.
In addition to this feature, Disney also wants to add game-like functionality to their platform. For your information, Netflix is ready to offer Netflix Games under their subscription, but its usage is still far behind when compared to the viewing figures of TV series and movies.
For now, Disney has not shared a target date for the introduction of this feature to the public.
