Google Pixel Receives Message Summary Using AI, Themes and Nano Banana in Photos

The new Google Pixel Drop can be downloaded by Pixel device owners today with several interesting new features. First of all, the device now receives a summary feature of various messages received through chat applications. This summary allows the information to be conveyed to be understood directly without reading long chat threads.

In December, Pixel will also receive a feature to de-prioritize less important notifications. Users are given the option to set which application notifications to be given importance. In the United States, the device can also detect fraudulent chat content and it will then be labeled. This feature crosses various chat applications installed on the device.

In Google Photos, “Help me edit” allows photos to be edited using a prompt. Elements can be inserted or removed according to the user’s wishes. Again, this feature seems to only be given to users in the United States at first.

The Scam Detection feature and filtering of fraudulent calls is also now expanded to Australia, Canada, the U.K., Ireland and Japan. Next, the Call Notes feature that takes phone call transcripts and then produces a summary is also expanded to the five countries.

Pixel devices can also download a ‘Wicked: For Good’ movie theme pack that offers wallpapers, icons, system audio and GIFs themed around the movie. Owners are given three themes: For Good, Glinda and Elphaba.

Finally, Google Maps also has a Power Saving mode that reduces battery consumption. The interface and colors are reduced in this mode, which Google says can extend battery life by up to 4 hours.
