Usually the console is played on the TV in the living room of the house. But there are a few gamers who put the console in a special room along with the PC. Sony yesterday launched a 27” Gaming Monitor designed specifically to match the PlayStation 5 console and home PC.
The monitor comes with a 27″ screen with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz VRR for PS5, up to 240Hz for PC and supports the Auto HDR feature. It is optimized to detect input from PS5 and PS5 Pro with settings automatically changed. On the monitor stem, there is a hook to detect DualSense or DualSense Edge when not in use.
It has 2x HDMI 2.1 and 1x DisplayPort 1.4. Also included are 2x USB-A, 1x USB-C, built-in stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm output jack and a VESA mount on the back. The 27” Gaming Monitor will be sold in Japan and the United States only in 2026. The price has not yet been announced.
