If you’ve ever dreamed of producing a video narrated by leading actors Michael Caine and Matthew McConaughey, you can now do so with ElevenLabs technology. The two actors have agreed to allow their voices to be used to generate audio through a generative artificial intelligence (AI) system.
McConaughey has also agreed to make an undisclosed investment in Eleven Labs. He will use ElevenLabs’ technology to generate Spanish-language audio for his Lyrics of Livin’ newsletter.
In conjunction with this announcement, ElevenLabs also announced the Iconic Marketplace, which allows users to pay to generate audio from top celebrities for various projects.
The voices offered at this time are Michael Caine, Liza Minelli, Art Garfunkel, Shoeless Joe Jackson, Judy Garland, John Wayne, Bettie Page, Burt Reynolds, Maya Angelou, Richard Feynman, Laurence Olivier, Amelia Earhart, Babe Ruth, Mark Twain, Ty Cobb, Jack Dempsey, Rocky Marciano, Al Joyner, Johnny Weissmuller, Jim Thorpe, Thomas Edison, Jean Harlow, Lana Turner, Mickey Rooney, Montgomery Clift, Alan Turing, J. Robert Oppenheimer and Rock Hudson.
