National Data Repository (NDR) to be operational by 2026

The government is planning to implement the National Data Repository (NDR) by 2026. This is to improve public service delivery through better data integration, according to Deputy Digital Minister Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong in Parliament today.

Several steps have already been initiated such as conducting a comprehensive study to assess the current ecosystem needs, creating a national data management policy, standardizing data storage formats across all agencies, and identifying infrastructure and manpower needs.

The integration of government data through the NDR will allow information from various agencies to be displayed, thus enabling faster and easier aid applications and the distribution of aid to more targeted citizens.

The NDR will also consolidate data from various ministries and agencies under a single platform to increase efficiency and reduce duplication.
