Huawei MatePad Edge Launched With 14.2″ Screen and Kirin X90 Chip

Huawei no longer offers laptops and to fill this void, they launched several flagship tablets that can be used like a laptop. Yesterday, the Huawei MatePad Edge was launched with a giant 14.2″ OLED, 120Hz screen that as far as we can remember has never been offered on a tablet.

This screen is matched with a choice of Kirin X90 or Kirin X90A, up to 32GB of RAM, up to 2TB of storage and a 12,900 mAh battery that supports 140W fast charging. The rear camera consists of a 50MP wide-angle lens and an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 32MP selfie camera. According to Huawei, the Kirin X90 chip provides performance comparable to the Apple M5.

The tablet is equipped with a physical keyboard that can be adjusted to the viewing angle complete with a trackpad. Despite its large size, this tablet is only 6.85 mm thick and weighs 789 grams. The included speaker also comes with six speakers.

The operating system used is HarmonyOS 5. Finally, the MatePad Edge screen can also be used with the Huawei M-Pencil Pro stylus. In China, the Huawei MatePad Edge is sold at a starting price of RMB 5,999 (~RM 3498) for the 16/256GB version and increases to RMB 12,999 (~RM 7579) for the 32/2000 GB version.
