The iOS 26.1, iPadOS 261. and macOS Tahoe 26.1 updates are available for download this morning, bringing a variety of new features and security patches to devices. As we previously reported, version 26.1 of the app brings Liquid Glass transparency control.
Two options are provided with Clear with a high level of transparency and the other is Tinted which makes the background darker. Among the issues with Liquid Glass is that the glass-like interface makes some elements difficult to see, such as notifications on the lock screen.
Other features provided are Live Translation with AirPods now supports Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Italian. Apple Music MiniPlayer supports scrolling to listen to the next song, Facetime audio is improved in poor network conditions, and more. The update can be done OTA with iOS 26.1 and is 8.39 GB in size.
