OpenAI has now updated their artificial intelligence model offerings, where paid users have now started receiving access to the GPT 5.1 model. As usual, OpenAI promises a number of improvements to this model compared to before.
GPT 5.1 is said to be more conversation-friendly, and comes in two variations, namely “Instant” and “Thinking”. It is said to offer better personality for conversations – perhaps making it one of the reasons why OpenAI introduced group chat support to it in parallel with the introduction of GPT 5.1.
In addition, it is said that this model offers better reasoning support, in addition to completing tasks faster. This update also offers a number of interesting personality options allowing it to interact based on the personality selected and set by the user – such as cheerful, humorous, professional, and others.
For those of you who subscribe to ChatGPT, you can already access GPT 5.1, and it is expected to be extended to free users soon.
