Today, several months after the announcement of the Smart #5 at the Malaysia Autoshow, Smart Malaysia under the management of PRO-NET has announced the official price for this Electric SUV. Offered in two versions, the Smart #5 Premium is sold at RM 199,800 while the Smart #5 Brabus is offered at RM 249,800.
The Smart #5 is the first Electric car from Smart to be equipped with an 800V charging architecture that allows for a fast charging of 10%-80% in 15 minutes via 400kW DC charging. It also brings a different design compared to the Smart #1 and #3, and is targeted for rugged use with a longer travel distance through a 100kWh battery capacity offered for two versions that will be sold in the Malaysian market, namely the Premium version and the Brabus version.
For both versions offered in Malaysia, it also comes with 20 Sennheiser speakers, inforia displays including inforia displays for the front passengers, translucent roof, rear passenger air conditioning and various other advanced features including a level 2 self-driving system and has a large storage capacity, with a luggage space of 630L that can be expanded up to 1530L.
Smart #5 Premium is a rear-wheel drive electric SUV that has a range of 590KM and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds with a maximum speed of 200 km/h. For the Brabus version, it can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds with a maximum speed of 210 km/h and has a smaller frunk size than the Premium version because it has all-wheel drive. It shares the same battery capacity of 100 kWh and has a range of 540km. For the Brabus version, it is also clearly distinguished through a more aggressive rim design, the Brabus logo that fills every corner, and the Alcantara fabric finish gives a premium feel.
Smart #5 Premium is sold at RM 199,800 while the Smart #5 Brabus is sold at RM 249,800 limited to the first 300 buyers. It comes with a 4-year unlimited mileage warranty, an 8-year battery warranty or 200,000km mileage, an 8-year or 150,000km electrical component warranty, a 2-year unlimited mileage replacement warranty and is also included with a 24-hour assistance service. Buyers also receive a charging box worth RM 3,200, a V2L charging plug worth RM 800, a 3 GB monthly internet package for 3 years and accessories worth RM 2,000.
