Threads is now introducing a new feature that allows users to invite friends or acquaintances to a group chat more easily via an invitation link. With just one step, the conversation can continue to grow without any obstacles.
To create a conversation using a link, users simply need to open the Threads inbox and start a new message. Next, select ‘Create group chat’ followed by ‘Create with link’. Once the conversation space is named, users will be given the option to copy the invitation link to make it easier for friends or acquaintances to set it up.
For group chats that have been created, the link can be activated via the three-dot menu in the top right by selecting ‘Invite link‘. Only administrators (admins) are allowed to generate the link, but anyone who receives it can share it with others.
