In addition to testing messaging support on the YouTube app, YouTube has now added another new experiment to their service, which is custom feed support.
For your information, initially YouTube simply displayed content from the channels we follow to watch and recommended based on it. However, with the implementation of the algorithm, various random content was displayed as suggested content to users – making some not so fond of it.
YouTube seems to want to overcome this problem with this custom feed feature. Users can give YouTube a short prompt based on the content they want to see and watch, and it will suggest based on it.
This feature is being tested by YouTube involving a small number of users. It is not yet known whether this feature will be introduced widely or otherwise.
