Bun is an all-in-one programming software that can automate programming tasks such as deploying software code and acts as a package manager that allows developers to install, manage, and run programming packages.
It is also seen as a successor to the full-stack Node.js platform that comes with useful and more efficient features for those who program in the Javascript programming language.
This is Anthropic's first acquisition since the company first reached $1 billion in revenue. The value of the Bun acquisition was not disclosed at this time. But Anthropic said that its software development platform will remain open source and available to the public.
