The new generation of Huawei Mate X7 foldable device was launched globally yesterday with the UAE and Saudi Arabia being the first two countries to receive it. The device offers a better big-screen experience along with more AI-powered features that make daily use easier.
The device comes with an 8-inch FHD+ (2416 × 2210 pixels) Flexible LTPO OLED main display paired with a 6.49-inch FHD+ (2444 × 1080 pixels) secondary screen. Both displays support a 120Hz refresh rate, feature 1.07 billion colors, and a peak brightness of 3000nits.
The Huawei Mate X7’s internal hardware is powered by the Kirin 9030 Pro chip with memory options of up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The global device also runs EMUI 15.0 instead of HarmonyOS. In addition, it is equipped with a 5600mAh battery with 66W fast charging support and IP58/59 waterproofing.
The Huawei Mate X7 is also equipped with a 50MP main camera system with a variable aperture of F1.49–F4.0, RYYB sensor and OIS support. This is followed by a 40MP ultra-wide camera (F2.2 aperture, RYYB), a 50MP macro telephoto and a second-generation color sensor. In addition, 8MP selfie cameras are also provided on both sides of the device's screen.
The Huawei Mate X7 is sold at a price of SAR 6999 (~RM 7653) in Saudi Arabia for the version with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. There is still no information whether this foldable device will be marketed in Malaysia.
