Media launched the MIRO U humanoid robot equipped with 3 pairs of arms which they say increases productivity by 30% compared to robots with one arm. With three pairs of arms, it can perform three tasks simultaneously.
Despite having a human-like body, MIRO U uses wheels to prioritize practical efficiency. It can lift objects and rotate 360 degrees locally. The six arms allow it to change tools used for different tasks more quickly.
MIRO U will be used in Midea's washing machine manufacturing plant located in Jiangsu province by the end of this year. China accounted for more than half of the world's industrial robot installations this year. Robots produced by local companies have already been used for border monitoring and exported to Malaysia for use in the smart agriculture sector.
Many industry practitioners see China dominating the robotics market in the near future just as they have managed to dominate the global electric car market now.
