Instagram today officially announced that they have begun testing Instagram TV, allowing users to easily watch various Reels content published on the platform on their television screens. This also allows the platform to be enjoyed in the living room, and not limited to mobile devices.
For now, Meta only offers the Instagram TV app for Amazon Fire TV users, limited to the United States market only. It is expected to be gradually expanded to other devices and countries.
Users can also manage multiple accounts on the Instagram TV app, and watch content of interest according to themes, or from publishers they follow easily.
With this introduction, it also indirectly shows Meta's focus on the video arena, and their steps in gaining the living room market, in addition to becoming a platform used daily by users around the world.
