Maxim E-hailing Malaysia is now legally operating nationwide after receiving final approval from the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD). With this approval, the company has completed a three-month monitoring period and fully met all regulatory requirements.
According to an official statement, the approval confirms that Maxim now fully meets the requirements of ride-hailing operations. A representative of Maxim Malaysia stressed that this achievement opens up opportunities for a stronger growth phase with a focus on passenger safety, driver welfare and the community.
In a press conference yesterday, Maxim explained several key areas of attention during the monitoring period. In terms of compliance and licenses, the company conducted internal audits of PSV and eVP licenses, updated the driver recruitment process, and tightened inspection procedures to ensure full compliance with operating standards.
For driver support, Maxim is channeling financial assistance of up to RM400, providing 0% commission incentives to new drivers and OKU, and collaborating with several driving schools to speed up the process of obtaining PSV licenses.
In terms of safety, Maxim improved its services by introducing a special travel option for women on the East Coast, providing child safety seats to selected drivers in Terengganu, and enhancing the SOS button functionality to ensure faster and more effective emergency responses.
Meanwhile, in terms of community and corporate social responsibility, Maxim signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Malaysian Association of the Blind (MAB), organizing a blood donation campaign, and providing dedicated transportation support for the visually impaired community.
With this approval, Maxim reaffirms its commitment to strengthen services, expand reach, and support the development of a comprehensive transportation ecosystem in Malaysia.
