Starting as a DVD rental service and then making a paradigm shift in video streaming, Netflix is now also foraying into offering video podcasts. Netflix has partnered with iHeart Media to publish 14 video podcasts starting in early 2026.
It will be offered to customers in the United States first before expanding to other markets. Among the podcast series that will be exclusively aired later are “Dear Chelsea” with Chelsea Handler, “The Breakfast Club” with Charlamagne, and “My Favorite Murder” with Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark. All of these are popular podcasts in the United States and this may be why the podcast offering is limited in the initial stage.
Netflix previously partnered with Spotify to broadcast video podcasts “The Ringer,” “The Bill Simmons Podcast,” and “The Zach Lowe Show.” 2026 will be the year of video podcasts and Netflix does not want to be left behind but at the same time the video game offering under Netflix Games is now increasingly anemic.
