YouTube is currently testing a new feature that will allow image-based updates to appear in Shorts. The feature is aimed at helping users reach their audience through a new channel. Additionally, each update can contain up to 10 images, making it a more engaging way to deliver content.
This means that soon, between short-form video clips in the Shorts feed, users will also see a display of still images that can be scrolled sideways, similar to the Carousels feature. This functionality is similar to the experience on TikTok or Instagram, making YouTube Shorts more in line with the current trend of short-form content.
