Windows File Explorer Updated to Be Lighter

Through the Windows 11 Build 26220.7523 update, Microsoft has reportedly reduced the memory and processing resources used by the File Explorer software to make it lighter when used, especially when searching for files or software through it.

Previously, Microsoft had introduced a pre-activation feature of File Explorer which was supposed to speed up the process of using the application, but unfortunately when tested, not much difference could be seen.

This latest update was introduced for Windows Insider program users, promising lighter use of computing resources where searches through File Explorer will no longer overlap, and will help speed up the search process. This is seen as another way Microsoft wants to speed up the activation and use of the search function on the Windows 11 operating system.

Usually, most of the features and updates introduced in the Windows Insider program will be implemented in the regular user version of the operating system in the future. If this test is successful, it is expected to be introduced in one of the upcoming Windows 11 version updates.
