X Tests ‘Seen’ Feature – Make it Easy for Users to Revisit Previously Viewed Tweets

X or previously known as Twitter is testing several new features. Among the most notable is the Seen tab which is expected to function as a video viewing history.

This feature was discovered through a screenshot shared by product manager, Nikita Bier while answering a user’s question. The screenshot shows the ‘Seen’ tab located next to the ‘For You’ and ‘Following’ feeds.

Through this tab, users are expected to be able to retrace content that has been viewed without having to remember the details or the original creator. The tab is also believed to function as a chronological communication history, making it easier for users to find specific tweets or videos without relying on the less-than-friendly search bar.

The leaked interface looks simple and easy to understand. In addition, users also noticed the appearance of floating bubble icons in the screenshot that display the profile pictures of friends who responded to a tweet.
