ASUS Zenbook A16 Launched With Snapdragon X2 Elite and Lightweight Body

I use a laptop with a 16″ screen because my eyes are getting old and I can no longer see the text on the screen clearly and a larger computer has better battery life. It is however heavy but I am brave enough because it is a work requirement. At CES 2026 this morning, ASUS Zenbook A16 was launched as a laptop with a 16″ screen that is lightweight but still powerful.

It comes with a 16” 3K OLED touchscreen, 120Hz and a 16:10 ratio. This is matched with a choice of Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme or Snapdragon X chips equipped with Adreno GPU and 80 TOPS NPU for AI tasks. Memory is up to 48GB LPDDR5X, storage up to 2TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe M.2 SSD and a 70Wh battery with up to 130W USB-C charging.

I/O options are 2x USB4, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, 1x HDMI 2.1 (TMDS), 1x 3.5 mm audio jack and 1x SD card reader. There is also a 1080p 3DNR IR camera with Windows Hello, WiFi 7 and six speakers with Dolby Atmos.

Zenbook A16 is made of lightweight but still durable Ceraluminum material. As a result, this large laptop weighs only 1.2 kilograms. It is lighter than the MacBook Air M5 (1.24 kg) and MacBook Air 15 M4 (1.51 kg). The sale price of ASUS Zenbook A16 (UX3607OA) and ASUS Zenbook A16 (UX3607QA) has not yet been announced.
