The Garmin Quatix 8 Pro has been launched and is designed specifically for those who spend a lot of time at sea. This smartwatch offers advanced technology that can ensure users stay connected even when they are far away in the middle of the sea.
This watch comes in two size options, namely 47mm and 51mm. It is matched with a 1.4″ AMOLED screen with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels along with a scratch-resistant sapphire glass body. In addition, it is equipped with various key health and fitness functions for comprehensive monitoring in addition to more than 100 built-in sports modes including water activities such as water skiing.
This watch also integrates satellite in Reach technology with LTE cellular that allows users to stay connected even when they are 50 miles (equivalent to 80.4 km) from the shore. As a result, users can send text messages, make voice calls and get live weather updates without the need for a phone.
Also complementing it is a more sophisticated ‘Boat Mode’ where the boat application will appear on the watch face when on the water and hidden when on land. Through this function, users can control the ‘autopilot’, view ‘trolling’ motor data and easily obtain vessel information.
Apart from that, users can also check the weather, send location check-ins and share ‘LiveTrack’ positions thus ensuring communication and safety are always guaranteed. The battery used can also last up to 15 days on a single charge.
