Last year I said the Google Pixel 9a was the most reasonable Pixel in Malaysia due to its competitive price, good camera and the same processor chip as the more prominent Pixel 9 series. With us successfully stepping into 2026, the launch of the Google Pixel 10a is also awaited and today its mock-up image was leaked via the Android Headlines website.
Unsurprisingly, the Pixel 9a design is recycled so there is no large camera bar and the camera bump looks very minimal. The dual rear camera design is slightly larger than last year but the screen retains a panel with quite thick bezels.
It is believed that the device specifications are a 6.3″ OLED 120Hz screen, powered by the Tensor G4 chip (not the G5), 8GB RAM, up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, a 5100 mAh battery (23W), as well as a 48+13MP main camera.
If it's true that the Pixel 10a recycles last year's Tensor G4 chip, it's a move we feel is unwise by Google. In the highly competitive mid-range device market in Malaysia, offering a 2025 spec device in 2026 is like reading talkin' even though the product hasn't been launched yet.
