Generative artificial intelligence (AI) can now generate text, images, audio and video. Today Google DeepMind announced Project Genie, a generative AI that can generate interactive worlds after just entering a few prompts.
Project Genie asks users to provide prompts for the interactive world they want to generate and also separate prompts for the characters that can be controlled in the world that will be generated. Project Genie is powered by three AI models, namely Genie 3, Nano Banana Pro and Gemini, to generate worlds in a variety of styles. They can look realistic, like an animated world, a video game world, a watercolor painting and more.
If users don't have an idea of what they want to generate, Project Genie already has several worlds ready. These worlds can then be edited and reworked by users by entering new prompts. Project Genie is still in the experimental stage and is only available to Google AI Ultra customers in the United States at first.
