Grok Generates Indecent Images Again Despite Being Investigated by Malaysia, France and India

A few weeks ago, Grok was given the ability to alter images uploaded to the X site using instructions given by users. Starting as a humorous image generator, it was later misused to generate harmful images such as undressing women and children. Due to this controversy, this feature was temporarily disabled with images generated since December 28 being completely deleted from Grok's account on X.

However, this feature was reactivated on X and it once again generated indecent images. Why it was reactivated was not revealed by Grok or Elon Musk. X is now under investigation in Malaysia, France and India because the act of changing a user's clothes without permission is a violation of privacy and in Malaysia it violates the Online Safety Act 2025 (ONSA).

ONSA requires online platforms and licensed service providers to prevent the spread of harmful content including pornographic, indecent and so on. Perhaps X feels they are immune because only three countries have initiated an investigation and not the US FCC itself.

Several class action lawsuits are being filed by X users around the world after their photos were altered to show them wearing inappropriate clothing. In two serious cases, children were changed into bathing suits and their headscarves were removed from their heads by Grok.
