Another Magic series device launched with the Honor Magic8 RSR Porsche Design is a flagship device that emphasizes a high-performance camera system and a more premium design compared to other Magic8 models. In addition to more premium specifications, it also comes with a telephoto camera kit that has been popular among Chinese manufacturers in recent times.
The device is equipped with a 6.71″ AMOLED LTPO 120Hz screen with Dolby Vision support. This is paired with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, up to 24GB LPDDR5x memory, up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage and a 7200mAh battery with 120W charging.
The main camera consists of a 50MP wide-angle lens with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 200MP telephoto with OS. On the front, a 50MP selfie camera is paired with a 3D facial scanning system. The Magic8 RSR Porsche Design is the first smartphone to meet the CIPA 6.5 standard for image stabilization. A special telephoto kit providing l200mm zoom is also offered in collaboration with Nox.
The body, camera arrangement and bump take inspiration from Porcshe cars. The back panel is made of nano-ceramic material with a Mohs hardness of 8.5. This makes it not only premium but also durable to prevent scratches while also exceeding the IP68/IP69/IP69K standards.
