A subsidiary of national carmaker PROTON, PRO-NET, today officially introduced the 2026 Proton e.MAS 7, an electric vehicle (EV) that is now assembled locally for the Malaysian market. The launch marks another significant milestone in the development of the EV ecosystem in the country, offering modern technology, practical features at a more affordable price.
According to PRO-NET Chief Executive Officer Zhang Qiang, the local production and competitive pricing of the e.MAS 7 reflects the company’s commitment to making EVs more accessible to Malaysians. He also expressed his gratitude to customers who made the Proton e.MAS 7 the best-selling EV in Malaysia in 2025. With updates for 2026, including new features and specifications tailored to local needs, the e.MAS 7 is expected to offer a safer and more comfortable driving experience.
Proton e.MAS 7 2026 Update
For the Prime variant, the Proton e.MAS 7 2026 is now equipped with a powered tailgate that allows the boot to be opened and closed just by pressing a button or using a remote control. This feature makes it easier for users, especially when carrying goods.
Meanwhile, the Premium variant receives a significant improvement in terms of safety through the addition of the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) system which includes three new features. These include Evasive Manoeuvre Assist (EMA) which helps drivers avoid obstacles during emergencies, Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA) which warns vehicles from the side at intersections, and Active Lane Change Assist (ALCA) which supports safer lane changes.
Welcome Benefit & Power Pack + Package
To celebrate the introduction of the 2026 model, PRO-NET is offering a Welcome Benefit package worth RM4,000 for a limited period. This package includes a free 7kW home charger, V2L adapter, unlimited internet data for five years, a six-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty, and an eight-year or 160,000 km high-voltage battery warranty.
