MyGov App Hits 1 Million Downloads, Will Integrate Agent AI Capabilities in Upcoming Updates

Malaysia’s one-stop government services app, MyGov, was introduced in a test phase early last year, and was available for download and use in a beta phase in the middle of last year.

Today, the Ministry of Digital announced that the MyGov app has now recorded over one million downloads since its introduction, reflecting the desire of Malaysians for an app that houses the diversity of government services on offer.

To date, MyGOV Malaysia provides 38 services involving 13 government agencies, including review functions and providing direct links to related government services. This integration process is being implemented continuously and in phases, with priority given to high-impact and frequently used services, including application and payment transactions.

The Ministry of Digital will implement the “Citizen Labs” program nationwide as an inclusive engagement platform. Through this approach, citizens have the opportunity to provide direct feedback and engage in the co-creation process to ensure that MyGOV Malaysia is always

relevant to the current needs of users.

Meanwhile, the Digital Ministry is also exploring the capabilities of Agentic AI to improve service efficiency. This initiative aims to enable applications to function more intelligently and proactively, thus helping users use services more smoothly and reducing the complexity of digital bureaucracy.
