LG Introduces LG CLOiD – A Robot That Helps With Housework

LG at the CES 2026 event is now introducing a robot assistant for housework, called LG CLOiD. It is designed to integrate with various other LG appliances in the home, allowing it to be controlled through mutual integration.

In a demo shown at CES 2026, LG showed the ability for this robot to take food from the refrigerator, wash clothes, control the air conditioner, and even fold clothes. However, from what was shown, it moves quite slowly – but it may be suitable if you are in the office, and this robot does tasks at home.

LG designed this CLOiD with a face part equipped with a screen, two hands, and a walking method using wheels. LG says that each hand has seven degrees of freedom in movement and operation.

Indirectly, this LG CLOiD is also seen as a hub for smart home control, connecting all LG products and appliances through it.

For now, LG just says they want to continue developing robots to help with household chores, and perhaps we'll see more improvements in future versions.
