Samsung Display Reportedly to Produce OLED Displays for iPhone 18 Pro

Samsung Display is a subsidiary of the South Korean tech giant that supplies screen display panels (specifically OLED) for various brands of smart devices, including the Apple iPhone Pro series of devices.

Recently, it has been reported that Samsung Display will once again supply the screen displays for the upcoming Apple smart devices, namely the Apple iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max series. The panels that will be supplied are LTPO+ (Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Silicon Oxide Plus) OLED screen displays.

The advantage of using this LTPO+ panel is that it comes with more efficient battery power consumption, aided by a 1-120Hz refresh rate. Not only that, the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are also expected to come with an under-display camera, and the Dynamic Island function is expected to change with this new device.

Meanwhile, Samsung's LTPO+ panel is also expected to be the only LTPO+ OLED panel that can be used in a foldable device, and will be used in the previously rumored iPhone Fold device.

For their basic iPhone devices, Apple will apparently use screen panels manufactured by BOE on the upcoming iPhone 18 devices.
