Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Will Have Privacy Screen Feature

Viewing content in an open area will make the screen readable by people sitting nearby. If you don't want the photos, emails, videos or documents you are reading to be seen by people nearby, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will be equipped with a new Privacy Display feature.

The Privacy Display feature is being tested in One UI 8.5 and through the included settings, it will make it difficult for the screen to be seen from side, top and bottom angles. It can be activated manually from the quick settings or automatically according to location such as the office or outdoors. With this feature, Galaxy S26 series owners will not need to buy a polaroid screen protector that prevents the screen content from being seen except directly from the front.

There are rumors that to use Privacy Display, Samsung's new OLED panel is required, so this feature will only be offered on the Galaxy S26 series for now. How effective this feature will only be known after the devices go on sale around March.
