The beginning of 2026 has seen significant developments in electric cars where we can not only see new models introduced, but more than that, electric vehicle-related technology has been improved. Volvo will take the world stage in announcing the Volvo EX60 with a range of 810 km on January 21.
The Volvo EX60 is an electric SUV that will be available in all-wheel drive, which will also place it in size and offering among other SUV families, namely the EX30 and EX90. It is built with the latest SPA3 architecture, which uses cell-to-body technology in the manufacture of this electric car chassis that places the battery directly into it.
Apart from that, the Volvo EX60 also uses an 800V charging architecture, allowing charging as far as 340km to be done in 10 minutes using a 400 kW charger. This means that owners won’t have to wait long for the vehicle to be fully charged, and with a range of 810KM, users could theoretically drive from Perlis to Johor with ease.
The Volvo EX60 will make its debut on 21 January 2026 via their YouTube page and there is currently no information for the Malaysian market. However, with the surge in electric car sales last year, we may see this model offered this year.
