ASUS Introduces New Line of Laptops to Enter the Malaysian Market

During the CES 2026 event earlier this year, ASUS announced a number of new laptops powered by the latest series of processing chips introduced by companies such as AMD, Intel and Qualcomm that will be offered this year.

Recently, ASUS Malaysia has just announced that a number of these laptops will also enter the Malaysian market soon. These include the ASUS Zenbook Duo, ASUS Zenbook S14 and ASUS Zenbook A16.

The updated ASUS Zenbook Duo was introduced earlier this year, and comes with two 14.0″ OLED 3K screens with touch support, 48–144Hz VRR refresh rates, can be used with a stylus and exceeds the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 standard. This year, the space between the dual screens has been reduced by 70% to allow the two screens to be used as one giant screen more easily.

It is powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor and for the Malaysian market, will be paired with 32GB LPDDR5x 9600 MT/s RAM, up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage and a 99Wh battery that supports 100W charging. There is a 1080p webcam with IR that supports Windows Hello. The audio system also comes with 6 Dolby Atmos speakers and the keyboard is a detachable Bluetooth type.

I/O options are 2x Thunderbolt 4 Type-C, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, 1x HDMI 2.1 (FRL) and 1x 3.5mm audio jack. Even with all these components, the Zenbook DUO (2026) still weighs just 1.35 kg without the keyboard and 1.65 kg with the keyboard.

Moving on to the ASUS Zenbook S14, this laptop comes with a 14-inch OLED touchscreen display and 3K resolution with a brightness value of 1100 nits and a refresh rate as high as 120Hz.

This laptop is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 388H processor chip and is equipped with 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.

Just like the previous ASUS Zenbook S14, it comes with a frame made of Ceraluminum alloy which allows it to weigh as little as 1.2kg and be as thin as 1.1cm. Despite its light weight, it is still loaded with various features such as Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 plug support.

The ASUS Zenbook A16 comes with an update to the CPU component which now uses the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme laptop chip which is the most powerful Arm laptop chip from Qualcomm.

It comes with a 16” 3K OLED touchscreen, 120Hz and a 16:10 ratio. This is matched with a choice of Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme or Snapdragon X chips equipped with Adreno GPU and 80 TOPS NPU for AI tasks. Memory is up to 48GB LPDDR5X, storage is up to 2TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe M.2 SSD and a 70Wh battery with up to 130W USB-C charging.

Similar to the ASUS Zenbook S14, the laptop’s frame is made using Ceraluminum alloy which makes it quite light at 1.2kg, but still strong.

ASUS Malaysia says that pre-orders for these laptops will open starting today via the ASUS e-Store at the following prices:

ASUS Zenbook Duo (2026) – RM12,999

ASUS Zenbook S14 (2026) – RM8,499

ASUS Zenbook A16 (2026) – RM7,999
