Microsoft Considering Combining Xbox Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass Subscriptions

The Verge recently reported that Microsoft is looking at new ways to get more people to pay for and use its video game subscription service, Xbox Game Pass.

The subscription plan comes in several tiers, including Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Game Pass Premium and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which come with additional services like subscriptions to Fortnite Crew, classic games from Ubisoft and more.

Microsoft is reportedly considering combining Xbox Game Pass Premium with PC Game Pass to allow subscribers to get access to the latest games that launch on day one, similar to what is featured on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Microsoft is also reportedly not making any drastic changes this year, but that could change next year if they feel the need to update the subscription offerings under the Xbox brand.

For users in Malaysia, this may not have much of an impact on the local market, as we only have access to PC Game Pass, and subscribing to Xbox Game Pass will require an Xbox account from a region that has a subscription to the service.

Issues may arise if Microsoft decides to merge PC Game Pass subscriptions with Xbox Game Pass, but with so many markets (like Malaysia) that don't have access to the subscription, we don't think that will be an issue at this time.
