In February 2025, the Malaysian government distributed a one-time Sara Untuk Semua aid worth RM100 to all Malaysians which can be used to purchase various basic daily necessities as part of the Basic Rahmah Contribution financial assistance program introduced by the government.
Most recently, Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, Minister of Finance II announced in the Dewan Rakyat that this year's Sara Untuk Semua aid will be distributed to all Malaysians on February 9, 2026, and will use the same mechanism and can be used to purchase essential items such as food and others.
Malaysians can go to the MyKasih website to check your eligibility, and if you are eligible, the money will be deposited through your MyKad and can be used at various retail outlets listed through the Basic Rahmah Contribution website throughout Malaysia starting that date.
